Dry Skin
Are you
suffering from dry skin and no matter what you do you still
have dryness. Dry skin is easily treated. The problem you may
be having might lie with how you actually conduct the actual
process of how you practice your method/treatment you have to
cure it.
Below are some ways and things you
can endorse to treat your dry skin problem.
If Your Wrinkles Are Still
There? You May Be Using The Wrong
Product
It is good to remember that dryness is
caused by lack of water in your skin, not oil. So
think of it like as if your skin was thirsty. What do you
do for thirst, yes that`s right you quench it. As with the
skin this also applies so drink plenty of water. Although
this does not effectively remedy the dry skin issue, it
however is healthy for the body, and it is from having a
healthy body that gives us a head start in clearing up
you`re dry skin.
An ideal way to get water into
your skin is to fill the bath tub and soak in it. A fifteen
minute soak in lukewarm water will see your body benefit
greatly in many ways. You don`t have to bath everyday because
use of too many stringent cleansers etc is damaging for the
skin. Particular ingredients in bathroom products can have a
severe affect on the skin in general.
Dry skin has a
low level of sebum and can be prone to sensitivity. The skin
has an arid look caused by its inability to hold in moisture.
It normally feels "taut" after washing unless some type of
moisturizer or skin cream is applied. Chapping and cracking are
signs of extremely dry, dehydrated skin. Dryness is intensified
by weather conditions i.e. wind, extremes of temperature and
air-conditioning, all of which cause the skin to flake, chap
and feel tight. Chapped skin can be painful. Open creases in
the skin caused by dryness may need medical
attention
You need to moisturize after
bathing. Moisturizer helps hold water in the skin
longer.
Dry skin which begins flaking can
cause itchiness resulting in the patient scratching where they
do more damage to their skin. If the skin grazes from
fingernails then infection can set in
Use a flannel in the bath instead
of a sponge. The flannel will make it an exfoliating session.
Rub the skin gently and this will remove the dead skin layer
that is causing the itchiness and any excess flaky
skin.
Avoid tap water if possible when
cleansing dry skin as it is unhealthy. The deposits are too
drying on the skin. And you shouldn`t use hot water this can
leave you very sorry for doing so. Use bottled mineral water to
spritz your face. First thing in the morning freshen up should
have you apply a spray of mineral water on your skin misted on
with a sprayer and lightly pat dry.
Dry skin needs plenty of thorough
but mild cleansing, regular stimulation with massage and
generous quantities of oil and moisture. You cannot afford to
neglect the skin as it will suffer and might result in it being
a more expensive quest for you to remedy when you come to treat
it. It also needs extra careful protection. Be careful when
bathing dry skin with soap and water not only does it remove
dirt and grime but also the natural oils protecting the skin. A
moisturizer increases the water content of the outer layers of
the skin and gives it a soft, moist look. A fresh healthy
“less” dry looking skin can be got with the right treatment,
and the right treatment for dry skin is more
attention.
If your dry skin
problem persists speak with your doctor as it may be something
other than your normal skin complaint. Skin disorders like
psoriasis and eczema can show dry skin giving cause for any
confusion.
